The inaugural NABA Memphis Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) kicks off July 21st at Christian Brothers University. ACAP’s goal is to increase the number of high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups that attend college and major in accounting.
The Marston Group is one of six local sponsors for the week-long program, and our firm will be sending intern Lukas Hooper to represent us. Lukas will assist program coordinators thoughout the week and hopes to be an example for students as to what it is like to be a young person in the accounting world today.
The one week summer residency program involves local university faculty and guest lecturers. Participants have an opportunity to compete for college scholarships and a $20,000 college scholarship will be awarded to the top performing student in the program.
