Dozens of up-and-coming entrepreneurs, supporters, and sponsors, like The Marston Group, participated in the first “Risk City” Entrepreneurial event highlighting Memphis’ entrepreneurial leadership. Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the event was designed to bring together young business owners and community innovators under one roof, providing the entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn about the risks and rewards associated with new business endeavors. Participants honed their speed pitch skills with local business owners in five minute blocks during the very lively “Speed Pitch” program. Marston Group employees staffed a table at the day-long program, held at Minglewood Hall, and provided free consulting to many start-ups in attendance.
