Dickey Named to Law School Board

James (Jimmy) Dickey, Jr., JD, MBA, CPA, CFP, a 1983 law graduate and partner at The Marston Group, PLC, is the only non-practicing attorney currently on the Board. Dickey is a practicing CPA specializing in income, estate and gift tax planning, as well as family wealth planning and closely-held business planning. Dickey has practiced accounting in Memphis for more than 25 years.

Board members serve a three-year term. The Law Alumni Board advises the membership of the law alumni group and helps support the law school and the U of M Alumni Association.

The most exciting item on the Law School calendar is the much anticipated move to the old post office location, on Front Street, in downtown Memphis. The Grand Opening Gala is slated for Saturday, January 16, 2010, with classes beginning at the new location that month.

Mr. Dickey also got his BA & MBA from the University of Memphis and he currently sits on the Boards of the Memphis Rock N’ Soul Museum, Inc. and The Madonna School of Learning.
