Jimmy Dickey elected to board of The Bridge

The Marston Group’s Jimmy Dickey recently attended a Saturday workshop for Memphis publication The Bridge,a monthly publication that focuses on the homeless and poverty-stricken community members. Run by Rhodes College students and volunteers, the street newspaper gives an often-unheard voice to those in such communities. The paper is distributed solely by contracted current and former homeless vendors who are able to keep the profits from the papers they sell.

As a recent board member and well-known advocate for community service, Jimmy understands the importance of participating in such a vital part of the efforts to keep improving Memphis communities and end homelessness.

“This is a unique opportunity, not only to empower those in need to develop a sustainable income and take further steps to improve their quality of life, but also to show the passion this community has for building a better Memphis,” Jimmy said.
