The Marston Group, a Memphis-based accounting and advisory firm, is proud to announce that Caren Creason, Liz Coleman, and Beth Price have been admitted as Equity Members of the firm. This major milestone reflects the outstanding leadership, service, and contributions each of these professionals have made to the success and growth of The Marston Group.
“These three professionals exemplify the values and vision of our firm,” said The Marston Group Founder and Managing Partner J. Kenneth (Chip) Marston, Jr., CPA. “Each brings a unique leadership style and an unwavering commitment to excellence, client service, and professional development. These promotions are well-deserved and position us for continued growth in our people, our services, and the markets we serve.”
Creason joined The Marston Group in 1993, when the firm was just beginning to expand beyond its early footprint. Known for her adaptability and unwavering client dedication, she has played a pivotal role in the growth of the firm, particularly through the strength of her client relationships and consistent referrals.
Coleman joined The Marston Group in 1996, bringing with her a law degree and a passion for tax practice. Throughout that time, she has become a recognized leader in federal and state tax compliance and planning, family law tax issues, and representation of taxpayers in federal and state tax controversies. She has authored tax-based educational seminars, testified about tax matters in family law cases, and worked closely with legal counsel in representing clients in Tax Court.
Price joined The Marston Group in 2022 and immediately made an extraordinary impact, utilizing her legal and accounting background. With experience as a former tax manager at Deloitte and as Associate General Counsel at Sedgwick Group, she brought with her a wealth of relevant prior experience. Her practice focuses on complex tax planning and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals and their businesses. She has been instrumental in building the firm’s presence in Memphis and Nashville.
“The elevation of Caren, Liz, and Beth to Equity Members marks a transformative moment,” said The Marston Group Partner Garner G. Williams, CPA. “They are trusted leaders who reflect our mission and values, and we look forward to their continued influence on our culture and future.”
The firm is also celebrating 40 years of serving clients with personalized, forward-thinking solutions. Since its founding in 1985, the firm has grown from a local practice into a multi-state operation with offices in Memphis, Nashville, and Oxford, supporting clients in more than 40 states. Throughout the past four decades, The Marston Group has built its reputation on trust, expertise, and innovation.
“Our 40th anniversary is a celebration of where we’ve been, as well as a recommitment to where we’re going,” said Marston. “We’ve always believed that accounting is about more than numbers. Our practice thrives on understanding people, solving problems, and empowering success.”
